Villa in Italy

My family is thinking about renting a villa in either Tuscany or Umbria.  Does anyone have any advice?

Re: Villa in Italy

Juts one advice: during august, it's very tragic to find a villa, the prices are very high. You can try September or June.

Re: Villa in Italy

I would not recommend renting a villa in Italy. Like Sergio said rent is likely to be very high, especially in the August. Also most of the people, in Italy, live in flats. If you choose a villa you are likely to be quite far from the center of the city. I'm talking about an independent villa. In Italy there are many houses where the first floor tenant has his own garden and entrance, but the second floor of the house is rented to another tenant who will also have his own garden and entrance.
