Re: Restaurants in SicilyI had an excellent black ink pasta dish with calamari at the Bella Blu restaurant in Taormina. If Taormina is on your itinerary give it a try. If you get there early you can sit outside and enjoy the view. For more you can visit the AmoreTravelGuides blog. Offline #3 06-25-2008 5:48 PM
Re: Restaurants in SicilyWe were planning to stay in Catania, is Taormina better? Offline #4 06-26-2008 7:13 AM
Re: Restaurants in SicilyTaormina is much nicer than Catania. Taormina is beautiful, there are a lot of restaurants and nice places to stay. The views are beautiful. There is a tram that goes between Taormina and the beach. There is also an old Roman ampitheater there. Offline #5 01-18-2009 2:15 AM

Re: Restaurants in SicilyA "Restaurant Week" is an event where a group of restaurants in an area coordinate to offer a set menu for a certain meal, at a fixed price. This price is usually lower than the price you'd ordinarily pay at a restaurant.Rome Hotels Last edited by Randy Cena (01-23-2011 10:06 PM) Offline #7 04-03-2011 9:15 AM

Re: Restaurants in SicilyTaormina is expensive as it is touristy however it is a lovely little town! La bouganville is a lovely restaurant just near the main entrance to the public gardens. I used to often eat there, and it is not so big and not so touristy as the staff speak limited english and it is not on the main corso umberto (main street) Last edited by Festus Othniel (04-08-2011 9:26 PM) Offline #9 05-13-2012 8:38 AM
Re: Restaurants in SicilyAnother famous Catania restaurant is the dining room of the Excelsior Grand Hotel which was revamped in 2001. Le Zagare is an elegant dining space with flowering plants and candles serving to provide a delicate backdrop to the exquisite cuisine. The scorpion fish and lobster preparations are highly recommended. Offline #10 06-20-2012 2:05 AM
