| blank_page La Punta is a wonderful restaurant in a spectacular location. It is located where Lake Como divides into 3 "fingers" and it is beautiful. We chose La Punta as the place to have our last meal in Bellagio. The clouds did not detract from the scenery and we were able to eat outside. La Punta specializes in lake fish. I tried the smoked Lavarello and Allen had the sauteed Lavarello. They were both wonderful. The salads were fresh and the bread was good. We had a small bottle of very good local wine, the waiter actually pointed to the vineyard. We split a Tartufo, in this case a vanilla gelato filled chocolate dessert, which was very good though not as good as my personal gold standard, the Tartufi in Rome. It was a lovely lunch and we would highly recommend this restaurant. We should mention that their credit card machine did not work while we were there so we had to pay cash. This could happen anywhere and it is a small price to pay for eating in such a small, delightful restaurant. |
