We stayed at the Golden Tulip for 3 nights because we wanted to be near the Duomo and Montenapoleone. Having a child in tow, proximity to almost everything is very important.

We had a nice comfortable room overlooking the courtyard. Wonderful view of the garden. Service was excellent, as usual. We didn't have breakfast inside the hotel though. Instead, we ventured into the local restaurants a few blocks away from Tulip. 

The rates were fair enough. Kinda steep but that seemed to be the going on rate for hotels in the Manin area.
