The Don Salvatore is located near where the ferry for Capri leaves so it is a great place to stop and eat either before or after your trip the Capri.  More of a trattoria than a true restaurant the Don Salvatore is in an old boathouse.  Most of the dishes feature seafood.  I had a great seafood risotto while my friend had grilled fish (I can’t remember what type of fish it was).  They had an extensive wine list.  The service was a bit slow but they were busy.

You can find Mariano Rubinacci stores in several large cities around the world but I think they started in Naples.  They are known for their silk scarves and ties which are indeed beautiful.  I bought an ashtray here that I love.  I don't smoke but I fell in love with design so I had to have it.  It is a great keepsake from Naples.  A lot of the scarves have Neapolitan scenes on them and others have maps.  They really are pretty.

Naples is famous for their nativity scenes (presepio).  Although you can find the figurines sold everywhere on the street they don't compare to what you find in some of the stores.  In Ferrigno you will find all sorts of angels, saints, wisemen as well as the nativity figures.  You can buy the figures separately or as a full nativity.  They also have statues of famous Neapolitans though most will be unrecgnized by those outside of Naples, or at least I did not recognize any of them nor did the people I was with.  They Ferrigno's (yes, there really are Ferrigno's) use different types of material to make their figurines including wood and silk.  The prices range from inexpensive (under 25 Euro) on up.

This is a wonderful little store or should I say doll hospital which is what Ospedale delle Cambole means.  Here you can find dolls of all types including those in need of repair because they are broken or worn out.  They also have beautiful antique dolls.  The dolls come in all forms - wood, wax, terra-cotta, papier-mache, plastic, etc.  The shop is small so it will not take much time to walk through it.  As you walk around the shop you can see the tools that are used to fix up the dolls.  I felt like I had taken a walk back in time when I visited this shop.
