Who can visit Rome without going to the Coliseum? The lines are long but if you opt for a tour guide you can save some time. Plus having a tour guide helps you learn about the history. Definitely tour guides are a good way to go.

Authentic Italian Meat Sauce

I did a minor variation to your recipe and used Muir Glen Fire Roasted Crushed Tomatoes for all the tomato ingredients. Love Muir Glen Fire Roasted Tomatoes. Also, for those with gluten intolerance . . . Trader Joe's has really good rice pasta. It comes fairly close to tasting like real pasta. Trader Joe's is my favorite grocery store.

Olive Oil

A health oriented friend of mine introduced me to raw olive oil from Living Tree Community It isn't Italian but it is my favorite: http://www.livingtreecommunity.com/ The oil isn't heated during the processing. My husband who is Italian finds my favorite too mild. He loves Italian Olive Oil. Other friends prefer Spanish. One friend prefers Costco house brand Olive Oil. Costco is pretty good but to me nothing comes close to raw olive oil. Of course, raw olive oil is a little on the pricey side. I love to dip crusty, hot Italian bread in a mix of raw olive oil with pepper, italian herbs, salt and garlic. Yummy.
