This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world and I always go here when I am in Florence. I have had meals of steak, veal and pasta and they were all great. If you love pasta try the spaghetti magnifico, it is magnificent. The wine list is also very good. The service is excellent. The ambiance only adds to the experience.

There is a cooking school associated with the restaurant that I am tempted to try.

The location of La Rosetta is perfect! It is near the Duomo and the fountain where all the action is in the evenings. It is located on the main piazza there was a lot to do. Our room was large, but the bathroom was average. We spoke with another guest and found that their room was quite a bit smaller than ours, so you should ask for a larger room when you make a reservation and when you check-in. Breakfast is was included and was standard, nothing special. The staff was incredibly friendly. The hotel has a private courtyard where you can sit and unwind before dinner. We ate at the hotel one night and it was excellent.

Ask for a room with a view of the bay with a balcony and you will not be disappointed. The hotel is set away from the main part of Sorrento (this hotel is actually in Sorento south of Naples not Naples) which is nice town at the northern end of the Amalfi Coast. We enjoyed the restaurants near the hotel which did not have a lot of tourists. The rooms at the hotel are very nice. There is a pool which was clean and refreshing. The staff was a bit surly, but not obnoxious in any way.
