| The villages of the Cinque Terre are all now part of the Parco Nazzionale della Cinque Terre, meaning they are an environmentally protected area. Most of the train stations in Cinque Terre have a small store that sells various items. The one in Manarolla even has a little museum. When I was there in fall of 2007, the store in Riomaggiore was still the best for buying t-shirts, sweatshirts, shopping bags, books, etc. These are items that have the park emblem on them rather than the names or pictures of the villages, those you can get in any of the little tourist stores ion the towns. I assume all or most of the proceeds from these purchases go to the park. |
