Sara, I am from South America too but I have travelled around Italy a lot, so I know how to do it...
It is prepared with esspreso (a third), hot milk ( a third) and milk foam (a third). The secret is the texture of the milk (I don't know how do they reach it) did you notice that they serve it warm? It is not a hot drink...

I'm also from South America, now living here in Italy. It's simple, here I bought a milk mixer to make the cappuccino..
