This is Europe's largest covered food market. Opened in 1874, the large iron and glass building holds an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables spread over two levels. The top level is devoted to the sale of fruit and vegetables while the lower level sells cheese, ham, meats, dried goods, olive oils and pasta among other items.
