This church is absolutely huge! The Duomo Basilica prides itself as one of the biggest churches in the world. The architecture is a combination of Gothic and Renaissance with elaborate designs on the exterior.

The ceiling boasts an imposing dome designed by Brunelleschi. The dome was made of bricks and I think according to the guide, there were about 4 million pieces of bricks in construction of that dome alone.

The interiors was full of masterpieces i.e. paintings, art deco, sculpture. It took us hours to tour the church. Very opulent-looking and the church permeates calming ambiance. Or maybe, we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the structure.
