The Hotel Brunelleschi should be a great hotel. The structure is interesting, there is a museum in the hotel, the rooms are modern, comfortable and clean. But.....the service is terrible. The people working the desk were among the most pompous I have encountered anywhere in the world.

The rooms have the feel of an upscale American hotel. A few rooms on the upper floors have panoramic roof terraces with a view of the Duomo. The hotel is in a prime location located right next to the duomo, but the snobby service makes the hotel a less than desirable place to stay especially when there are so many other options in Florence.
