After my hubby's conference, we decided to check in to another hotel to spend the weekend. We ended up at Santa Lucia Grand Hotel. The hotel is an old building right across a dated castle. We loved the location. Shopping districts were minutes away. 

The rates were a bit pricey. I think most of the hotels in Italy are! The service was okay. The staff were helpful. Breakfast, however, was boring. We had breakfast outside the hotel in the next days. 

We arranged for a tour to the Amalfi Coast instead. The city of Naples was untidy. The historic buildings were lovely alright but the rubbish was a major turn off. 

We booked at Palazzo Alabardieri for 3 nights. We were at Naples because my husband had a conference in the same hotel. 

Top service by the staff and our room was upgraded to junior suite. The location was near shopping areas so I wasn't bored at all when hubby was having meetings. The surroundings were relatively safe but noticeably, garbage were found in the sidewalks. 

 Breakfast was buffet style. Wide selection of local food and breads. 

There were shops  near the hotel. Most of them are designers.I window-shopped a bit during the day.

This is a good hotel for business travelers. 

My hubby and I went to buy nativity figurines at Ferrigno. The shop is located in Via San Gregorio Armeno 8, Spaccanapoli. The hotel staff helped us with the directions.

We bought the whole nativity set. The terracotta figurines were really beautiful. When I displayed the nativity set last Christmas in our home, we received a lot of praises from our friends. 

The Caruso Roof Garden is located at the top of Hotel Vesuvio giving us a nice view of the bay and the city below. The restaurant exudes sophistication. I recommend this place for romantic dinners with your loved one. My husband took me here for a surprise treat.

We had Neopolitan cuisine and red wine. Great service and food.

Couldn't forget the breathtaking view of the bay and Vesuvius. It was picture perfect!
