The church of Maggiore was located in a small village. The interiors of the church was beautiful. Art deco and medieval artifacts fills the inside of the church. It was worth the visit.

Da Baracca - Restaurant - Amalfi, Italy

Da Baracca is another favorite. They serve fresh seafood cooked home-style. You'll never run out of good food to choose from in Amalfi. Top that with the relaxing ambiance of the town. Our vacation was a memorable one. Good food, good life. Bellissima!

Da Gemma - Restaurant - Amalfi, Italy

Couldn't get enough of the fresh seafood in Amalfi. Da Gemma offers catch of the day cooked in various ways. We had the sea bass with lemon sauce. The lightly tangy sweetness was a delight. We washed it down by a bottle of regional wine. We simply loved the nice food coupled with local hospitality.

Gerrys Pub - Sites & Things To Do - Amalfi, Italy
2 years ago

Just 15 minutes away from Excelsior, hubby and I spent a night at Gerry's. Gerry greeted us when we arrived. A real cheery person. We chilled out the rest of the night. For dinner, it was sea bass, grilled style, and salad.

Great company and we loved the home style cooking.

Grand Excelsior Hotel Amalfi - Hotels & Hostels - Amalfi, Italy
2 years ago

We spent our anniversary here at Excelsior. My husband and I stayed here previously and the place hasn't lost its appeal. The hotel sits on a cliff facing the sea. The view was spectacular, as always. The location was off the beaten path but thank goodness for the shuittle. I recommend to take the shuttle rather than a hire a taxi. It would save you lots of Euros.

The food was standard Italian. Breakfast was continental. Our room was huge. Bed and bath were clean with crisp fresh, linen everyday. The Italian hospitality is tops.

Wonderful in all respects.
