San Domenico Palace Hotel Taormina - Hotels & Hostels - Taormina, Italy

I was a little surprised that the San Domenico made it to the Conde Naste list of best hotels.  It was a little to run down and not as sparkling clean as I like, especially when a hotel is this expensive.  The views are beautiful.  We had a terrace off our room which was nice and the gardens are lovely.  The restaurant at the hotel hat we ate at was very good though we enjoyed the restaurants and bars around town more.  There are actually 3 or 4 restaurants at the hotel.  Taormina is a lovely little town that should definitely be on your list of places to see when you visit Sicily.  If the hotel was not so expensive it would be worth staying here but I feel that for the price you can do better.
