The views from the San Francesco in Naples are amazingly beautiful.  It is nice to return home to this relaxing hotel at the end of a day sightseeing in dirty and noisy Naples.  There is a terrace on the 7^th floor with a beautiful garden and swimming pool with plenty of places to sit.  There were no weddings or business functions when we were there so everything was open to us.  We spoke with another guest who apparently had endured a noisy wedding reception the evening before.  They said the hotel had closed off the terrace to other guests while the wedding party was there, apparently the hotel often hosts events and closes various facilities at these times.  The breakfast was excellent and once again there are beautiful views of the bay from the breakfast room.  We ate dinner there one night and had a very good meal.  There is a very nice shopping area near the hotel.  Our room was okay.  It was clean but on the small side.  You can walk to the tram to go into town or you can take a taxi.  Even though the area around the hotel is okay I never feel safe walking very far in Naples.  The staff was helpful enough.  I would say they were not overly friendly but they were not surly either.  Living in Naples probably makes everyone a little surly.
