Villa Torlonia park in Rome is a splendid green oasis along via Nomentana. It has been restored and now it is open for visits. Inside the beautiful park of Villa Torlonia it is possible to find a theater, fountains, museum and the famous Casina delle civette (House of the Owls), a cottage like a Swiss chalet, built in 1840. The characteristic features of Casina delle civette are the 54 stained glass windows in Liberty style. Everywhere a romantic atmosphere, mosaics, wood panels on the walls. A place to dream. Enchanting. I liked so much that in my next visit to Rome, I want to return to Villa Torlonia. |
