If you have a thing for the old and historic, I suggest you see the Terme Di Caracalla or Baths of Caracalla in Rome, Italy. The site can be reached either by the metro or a 10-minute walk from the Colosseum. The Terme is an amazing place to visit. Me and my friends, who have always been intrigued by things old and ruined, were immediately bedazzled by the well-preserved ruins. The entire site is so big, you'd wonder how people during its time were able to construct it. YOu can see the remains displayed everywhere. There are mosaics scattered on the floor--makes you feel how it would have been like to live during the old days. We spent almost half a day walking around this enormous place, watching in awe of the ruins. The entrance will cost you only 5 euros, and I can tell you that every cent is worth it. |
