Each time I go to a place for the first time, I make sure that I bring something home as a souvenir. Little trinkets or shirts or even food will be a good addition to my slowly growing collection. When I went to Bari last September (on my birthday) I scoured the place to find something to take home. Luckily, there was a festival called Fiera Del Levante, or commonly referred to as simply the trade fair. The Fiera Del Levante was an annual event held at the convention center where merchants get to sell their goods. The fair made me think of the Fleece Fairs I read in books. Companies from the Mediterranean participate in this commercial event where they sell everything from agriculture products to services. The fair is a good way to promote and forge ties with merchants between Europe and the Middle East, where most of the participants come from. You will surely get to see lots of diverse products here. I was able to take home several unique items. |
