We ate lunch out on the porch of the Bella Blu restaurant in Taormina. It is located near the funicular that runs between Taormina and the beach. The food was excellent. I had squid ink pasta which was delicious and the portion was huge. Someone else in our group had an excellent pizza. On top of that our waiter sang opera!. Word has it that the restaurant turns into a disco at night and attracts a rather boisterous crowd. That should not disuade you from trying it out for either lunch or dinner. We arrived early and had no trouble getting seated, but by the time we left the place was packed.
