| This shopping area makes the Mercato Nuovo look like the sea of tranquility. The area around San Lorenzo is filled with stalls selling everything from leather goods to cheap trinkets. You can find leather jackets, shoes, handbags and luggage that are often less expensive than the surrounding stores. You may be able to haggle for prices in some of the stalls, but this is more difficult in the height of the tourist season. The crowds can be overwhelming and pickpockets are out in mass. |
