Re: Trains in ItalyIt is indeed true that the best way to get from Fiumiccino the Rome airport into the city is by taking the train that runs from the airport to Termini. The train runs frequently and is fairly inexpense. The trains are safe in Italy except for the pickpockets. Make sure your wallet is secure. You don't want to leave yourself too exposed by being overloaded with your luggage. Offline #3 04-22-2009 3:12 PM
Re: Trains in ItalyMy wife and I always take the train from the airport into Termini. It is by far the most convenient way to get into Rome. After you get to Termini we always take a taxi to our hotel. We have taken trains all over Italy, actually all over Europe for that matter and have never had a problem. We do keep a pretty close watch on our wallets as well as the rest of our belongings. Offline #4 05-19-2009 9:48 AM
Re: Trains in ItalyYes it is true, the train is called Leonardo Express, and is a no stop train between Rome Fiumicino Airport and Termini Railway station, about 20 minutes, cost is 11,00€. Very convenient and good service. Offline #5 06-21-2009 4:51 PM
Re: Trains in ItalyThe trains in Italy are very safe including the train from the airport to Termini. Just make sure you watch out for your purse or wallet. There are a lot of pickpockets. Offline |
