| A slow boat trip around Lake Como is a must. While express routes are available, to really enjoy the region the slower trip allows you to lesurely enjoy the scenery, the water, the crew(very happy workers) and see the small towns, homes, villas and surrounding hillsides. If we had more time, we would have gotten off / on the boat at each of the small towns. |

| If you are staying anywhere on Lake Como a boat tour is a must. You can catch the boat from most of the small towns around the lake including Como. When I stay in Bellagio, I usually take the train from Milan to Como then a taxi from the train station to the boat in Como. You can take either the fast boat or the slow boat. I take the slow boat and sit there and enjoy the view of the lake and the mountains. The boat has rest rooms and a small snack bar/coffee shop which seems to operate on a schedule known only to the people who run the boat. |
