| My wife and I stayed at La Pineta Hotel when we were in Erice on our trip to Sicily. The location was great, the staff was friendly and helpful and our room and the hotel in general was clean. Most of the rooms are in little stone buildings so you really get the feel of staying in an ancient village. Most of the rooms have private terraces which was nice. Our room was very quiet though it was not easy to get to since you have to walk along a path that is slippery when wet and the hotel is built on a hill. But all of Erice is hilly and since the roads are cobblestone everywhere is slippery when wet. Like at most small hotels in Sicily the staff spoke little English but that did not present any problems. The breakfast was adequate nothing particularly special. If the breakfast had been better I would have given the hotel a 5 star recommendation. We did not eat dinner at the hotel. |
