Magazzini Rastelli is a wonderful children’s store in Perugia.  They offer items for babies and toddlers.  They have a wide selection of clothes, toys games along with furniture.  I especially liked their clothes which were particularly nice.

The Ercolani Paper and Stationary store has just about everything you could possibly want when it comes to things made out of paper.  They also carry a selection of games.

The Giuditta Brozzetti Weaving Studio is amazing.  Weaving has been a tradition in Umbria for centuries and the Geiuditta Brozzetti Studio has some of the prettiest products in the area.  The patterns used today by this studio are reproductions of those used in the past.  Some of the designs date from the Middle ages.  The studio is located in an old church.  They use many of the same techniques that were used historically.  It is definitely worth a visit.  They make table clothes, pillows, etc.  All these things can easily fit in your suitcase!

This is a great hotel!  The rooms are clean the staff friendly and helpful.  The location is perfect within easy walking distance of the Piazza Italia and near the bus and train station.  I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel has everything you expect from a Crowne Plaza - except for the customer service.  The building is beautiful and clean but the area around the hotel is definitely scary.  The hotel is geared toward business travelers, we stayed there overnight from Rome to Sicily.  It would have been nice to have a few more amenities.  We stayed there on the recommendation of a friend who has stayed there for business conferences.  I can see where it would appeal to business travelers.  If it is just a stop along the way in your vacation then stay here, if you are looking for someplace with atmosphere find somewhere else.

More of a hostel than a hotel the Locanda Costa d’Amalfi is close to Amalfi, on the road that leads to Positano. The staff is helpful.
