| This site is definitely worth a day trip from Naples (or even Rome). I was impressed with the size of Pompeii and how much of the ancient town has been unearthed, although archeologists are still working to uncover more of the town. The town was extensive and included homes, gardens, gymnasiums, restaurants, shops, and more. I was surprised by how similar the daily lives of the residents of Pompeii were to today’s world – it was very eye opening! |
