We ended up in a nice apartment halfway up the hill from the train station off the main road. The only problem was that we did not know that was where our apartment was. So we trekked all the way up the hill to Locanda Della Compagnia only to be told we had to hike halfway down the hill again. The apartment had a beautiful view from the bedroom. In the evening we sat with a glass of wine and looked out over the sea. We also sat there in the morning with our pastry and coffee. There was a little kitchen with a small fridge which came in handy as we packed a picnic lunch when we hiked the trails. The bathroom was small and the shower had no door so the water went everywhere which was a little weird. I was a worried about the water hitting an electrical outlet. The apartment was up a very narrow staircase from the village which was okay for us but I would not have wanted to stay there if I had not been in relatively good shape. The staff was very friendly and the apartment was very clean. We had our own clothesline which came in handy since it rained on one of our hikes so we were able to rinse out our wet clothes and hang them out to dry overnight and the next day. If you plan to stay here make sure you tell them of any physical limitations you may have. I thought we were staying in the hotel and did not find out that was not the case until we got there. Next time I will check in advance. |
