The Via Sannio is like a flea market selling bargain items. They open only in the mornings, unfortunately. There's a lot of walking involved when you visit Via Sannio so a good pair of shoes is a must.

The place fills up with people after 9am. If you plan to buy souvenir stuff here, make sure that you go there early. All the nice items will be gone after 9am. 

As far as purchases as concerned, I got myself some really nice antiques and trinkets for my nieces. 

Via Sannio is worth a visit, that is if you're looking for a bargain. 

One of traditional markets of Rome, after the most famous Porta Portese, is via Sannio Market.

This market is on the homonymous street, near Piazza San Giovanni, just outside the ancient walls.

The market is open from Monday to Saturday, from 8.30am to 1.30pm.

It is possible to reach via Sannio by Metro, descending to the stop "San Giovanni".

In this market by Parisian atmosphere it is possible to find every kind of things, from kitchen utensils to cheap CDs, but the main characteristic of this market is its fabulous collection of retro clothes and also second-hand clothes.
