This is one of the prettiest hotels I have ever stayed in anywhere. I went there with 3 friends so we had a little suite that consisted of a large bedroom, a small hallway, a large bathroom and a little sitting room with a daybed. The best part of the room was that there were 3 windows that looked out onto the sea. There was also an air conditioner in the room. We flew into Milan and took the train to Genova and then a taxi to Nervi. There is a local train that goes to Nervi from Genova and only takes about 10 minutes. We were too tired to deal with all the lugging of suitcases on and off the train. The Villa Pagoda is not within walking distance of the Nervi train station, but taxi's are available. The hotel is right next to several very large public parks which are beautiful and most importantly they have a private entrance to the Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi which is a walkway along the sea. The walkway is paved and so is an easy walk. There are numerous restaurants and gelatterias along the way where you can sit and watch the boats. There are a number of stores that are an easy walk from the hotel though none of them are big name stores, you will surely run into locals while you shop. The hotel had a great breakfast but it was not included in the cost of our room. Both the breakfast and the room were a little pricey though the dinner was very reasonable. We ate dinner under a tent in the large yard in front of the hotel. It was a beautiful night and the food and service were excellent. The hotel staff was very helpful though not overly friendly. The rooms, restaurant, lobby, etc. were all very clean.
