The Vatican Museum was part of itinerary. We wouldn't miss it for the world! My boyfriend purchased tickets in advance so we won't have to wait in line.

The tour included church sightings. There was Sistine Chapel where most of Michelangelo's paintings were on display -- ceilings, on the walls, etc. It was lovely. So lovely I couldn't take my eyes off of the paintings. There were also the different rooms that houses the paintings of other great Italian artists.

We visited the Vatican Museum with a tour guide. Our schedule was in the afternoon. I was hoping to have it in the morning but the guide told us that mornings are usually jam-packed. Besides, the whole tour will last for hours and it's best to have lunch first before heading off to the Vatican.

I truly enjoyed the tour except for one thing, I wasn't able to take photos. The Vatican has strict rules in regards to taking pictures. According to them, it'll (the flash, lights perhaps) contribute to the degradation of the artwork. So I had to content myself with remembering all the gorgeous artworks that I've seen.

The Vatican Museum was one of the highlights of our trip. We booked our tickets online to avoid the long queues. It cost us about 14 Euro for the online ticket. It's worth it considering the wait we have to endure in case we decided to buy the tickets outside the Vatican Museum.

The Museum tour included the Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Room, Pinacoteca, Gregorian Egyptian Museum and Ethnological Missionary Museum. Our top favorites are the Sistine Chapel's Creation of Adam and The Last Judgment -- all done by Michelangelo. The Pinacoteca features the Transfiguration and the Deposition from the Cross. We also love this section.

 The trip to the Vatican Museum was quite an experience. We'll do it again in a heartbeat.
