Scuolo di San Rocco is Venice's answer to Rome's Sistine Chapel. We marvelled at the towering structure in front of us. The paintings on display include the Virgin Mary's Anunciation, The Adoration of the Magi, Flight to Egypt, The Slaughter of the Innocents, The Circumcision and the Assumption. We were enamored by Tintoretto Jacopo's works. More paintings on display in the other sections of the building. We paid 7 Euros for the entrance and that includes an audio guide. This place is an absolute must-see if you're in Venice. |
